God of the Gap
Since we know God is the Alpha and the Omega it only stands to reason that He is also with us in the IN BETWEEN times, in the gaps. You know, that place between where you were and where God has promised to take you. That place of insecurity, that place of fear, that place of “Lord, I am so tired.”
Did you know that place has a name? It’s called faith! Yes, it seems so obvious, but why then - when we feel stalled in the middle - are we so quick to forget? After all, we trust and believe God’s promises, right? We know this in-between place is not where our story ends. Perhaps it’s because, like Paul, we take our eyes off Him and feel ourselves sinking. When we take our eyes off of Jesus we begin to sink into the gap. We sink into how long it is taking, not feeling we have what it takes to reach the other side, or even feeling overqualified and alone in the gap. All because we have taken our eyes off Him and tried to be our own bridge - only to realize that, without God, we don’t have what we need spiritually, emotionally or even physically to make it. But WITH Him we do! I just wanted to take a few moments today to remind you that God is always with you, especially during the in-between times when your faith will be tested.
He is not only Alpha and Omega, He is the God of

hold on, don’t grow weary.
He is the God of ‘don’t look at the wind, waves or the sea that may be raging around you, just keep your eyes on Me - I won’t let you go under!’
See, God loves to show us just who He is in the gap! That’s the place where, if we seek Him, we learn more about Him and if we let Him, He will do amazing things, and if we trust Him, His promises of victory will indeed come to pass. Yes, He’s the God of the beginning, middle and end, so why not let Him be God, even in the gap.
